How Fashion Girls Wear Denim And Look Good, Every Time
If you're like me, I like to wear denim every single day. And if you're one to not keep up with street styles, don't worry - we've done the work for you on how to look good in every single denim; denim jeans, denim skirts, denim on denim - every damn time. From what we saw on our favourite Fashion Girls and Street Style Influencers - we found that 2020 denim trends are emerging with a combination of classic cuts with vintage influences. From runway trends we saw 70's style wide leg jeans, new inspired ripped jeans, up cycled patchwork designs, colourful pastel hues and even juxtaposed anti-skinny versions.
Arguably, making less of an effort is considered cool now as we've noticed many designers like Cèline and Gucci showcasing wide-leg flare jeans paired with rocker tee's, to trending boiler suits being the 70's era as a baseline platform. Lived-in vibes and distressed rips tempt us during summer, and whether you love them or hate them - denim trends have become a new breath of fresh air. Below are a few examples of how to wear new denim trends, it's time to clean out your closet and make room for these styles!

Instantly Look Edgy With Ripped Jeans
What really caught our attention are ripped jeans, and new ways to wear distressed denim. We see new styles of natural raw hems worn in a new polished way, that you gotta love the ease of wearing them. Possibly a favourite day-to-day style for every girl, raw hemmed denim jeans in different unique lengths and they look ah-mazing with any leather moto jackets and tee - making it the perfect trans-seasonal outfit.
TIP 1. When choosing the right ripped jeans, it's important to pick your degree of fray. If you're worried of looking too edgy, choose jeans in pastel colours with a slight natural edge. Or for fear of looking too casual, neutral colours always elevate any look.

70's Flared Denim, Keep it Wide Legged Jeans
Vintage denim lovers take on the 70's inspo for wide-legged jeans by keeping it defined around the waist and flaring at the bottom. Somewhat riskier than your ordinary straight legs, it is easy to style flared wide-legs with your most basic and classic pieces in your wardrobe. Proving that this silhouette is becoming one of Summer's ultimate trends. You can easily steal this look in your everyday style by keeping it downtown cool or rocker vibes with a vintage shirt or incorporate bohemian aesthetic with shades of rustic hues. This free-spirit silhouette can be found in many different washes, the perfect and relaxed style this festival season.
Tip 2. Enhanced your silhouette by balancing your body shape and styling with a form fitting crop top, or a relaxed blouse half-tucked into the waist.

Anti-Skinny Denim And Jeans
This strong on trend look for spring and summer is the perfect runway to street style look. From anti-skinny cropped bottoms to the notorious (butt lifting) magical mom jeans, consider this style man-reppelling - BUT it could be the ideal starter for a daring silhouette. Anti-skinny denim have been HUGE this year, and we've noticed from our street style and Instagram influencers as they pair light wash denim with artsy earrings and a head scarf for a "girl next door look." When you find the right shape for you, it'll be the easiest jeans you will ever wear for everyday looks.
Tip 3. If you're worried about wearing mom jeans and looking too baggy, or sloppy keep it feminine with tighter crop tops or worn with corset tops for a sexy edge.

High-Street Style Double Denim
Who could ever forget Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake's 2001 denim power move? (it was totally major.) Hilariously you would be notoriously trolled for wearing denim-on-denim, honestly, we thought it would never, EVER be cool again. But if ugly dad sneakers came back in style, it's no wonder that relaxed casual looks can be worn in new ways for a high-street look. Double denim fans can rejoice again at this years reboot with it's reinventions from denim skirts, shorts, jackets or ironically wearing it all at once.
Tip 4. For an easy denim-on-denim outfit, keep your wash a uniform colour. Start off easy with a relaxed chambray shirt, or go all in with matching sets for full domination.

How Fashion Girls Wear Denim
There's no denying that denim dresses are actually climate neutral but we have seen over-sized sleeves, sets and denim overalls or boiler suits recreated in new styles and up-cycled looks. Fashion girls are wearing denim at an alternative edge, practically Fashion Week status with over-sized OTT jackets to denim frays, to mixing patchwork designs and layering looks complete with mirrored sunglasses. Take inspiration from fashion girls who wear frayed denim with exaggerated shoulders, deconstructed jackets or cropped material bombers.
Tip 5. Take a break from traditional blue and experiment with light pastel colours. Choosing asymmetrical skirt hemlines work perfectly for all body shapes and quite flattering for slimmer figures.
